The Indian Gharial

Do you know what gharial that has a nick name that is needle nose because of how long and how thin its nose is? If you were wondering it was the Indian Gharial.

Did you know that as “needle nose” gets older its snout gets longer and thinner, WOW! When the males are full grown their snort makes a buzzing sound and blows bubbles to attract a girlfriend. Did you know that this gharial could be humans’ friend because it can’t eat us? Their nose is too skinny to eat humans. The mating season only for two months (November, December, and some in January.) The female gharial can lay thirty to fifty eggs. Wow, isn’t that a lot of babies? I’d hate to be that mother!
