All crocodilians are reptiles. They all have scales, are cold blooded, are vertebrates, and lay eggs. Crocodilians are usually found in water, but because they breathe air they are land dwellers. They depend on the sun to heat their bodies so they live mostly in tropical climates. All crocodilians communicate by sounds and they all have an acute sense of hearing. Crocodilians are meat eaters and will eat almost anything if there is nothing else to eat.
