                        LEARNING IS AN ADVENTURE!

The purpose of our website is to provide detailed information about the 23 living members of the crocodilian species.  The four main groups of reptiles that make up this species are: crocodiles, caimans, alligators and gavials (also called gharials).  This site will show where in the world these reptiles are found. It will explain the physical features that make a reptile a member of the crocodilian family. This site will tell how the features help the crocodilians survive in their habitat and list the predator/prey relationships. Once crocodilians survive to adulthood, they have no enemies except humans who kill them out of fear or for making the skin into clothing and accessories.  The site will list conservation efforts to protect endangered species of crocodilians and laws established to prevent illegal trafficking of crocodilian goods.
