When crocodilians lay around with their mouth open they do it to cool down, to catch food, and to communicate. This is called open mouth.

Their sight is awesome! Crocodilians have a vertical pupil which limits the amount of light coming into the eye. They can see very well in the dark. They have a third eyelid which covers their eye under water.
The male crocodilian blows bubbles and makes buzzing noises to attract a female mate they also make it when mating.
