Parts of Plant Cell
The six basic parts of a plant cell are the cell wall (a thick cellulose layer around the cell which supports the cell and gives it a regular shape), chloroplasts (small disc-like structures found in the cells, contain chlorophylls that absorb energy from the sun to make food), cell membrane (like in the animal cells, plant cells have this layer around the cell too), cytoplasm (same jelly-like substance as in animal cells), nucleus (same as in animal cells which control cell activities), vacuole (often a single large space containing a liquid called the cell sap which contains water and dissolved substances such as sugar and salt).
