About Us
Most People don't like Mangroves because they think as them of  Muddy, mosquito and some times crocodile infested swamps. In the past  People thought that it was a sign of progess to knock them down. So what is the point of keeping them? For  a start , an average of  seventy-five types of fish are caught and they spend most of their life in Mangroves or are relient on  the Mangroves for their food. Mangroves  also protect the coast by absorbing the energy of the storm driven waves and wind. The only two yachts that were undamaged by Cyclone Tracey in Darwin in 1974 had sheltered in a mangrove area. While providing  protection for land on one side of the mangroves they all join with the sea on the other.

The Red Mangrove scientific name is Rhyzophora Stylona, also known as the stilt or spider mangrove, is usually found between high and low tide where its long prop roots give it a firm foot hold against wind and waves.

There are mangroves all around Moreton Bay.
