| Sea
turtles have an
armoured shell and it has a prehistoric look. Sea turtles have not
changed
much since the dinosour age . Sea turtles have been living in the
oceans
for 100 million years.Of the seven types six live in austrailan oceans.
Each
breeding season, the number of sea turtles is up.
Each turtle has a big
shell and four flippers. Sea turtles are a lot larger than freshwater
turtles.
The biggest of the sea turtles is the leathery sea turtle, it may grow
up to
two metres and they may weigh up to 960 kg. A part of the leathery
turtle shell
is made of flattened bones. The littlest sea
turtle is the Pacific Ridley it may grow to 75cm and it can weigh up to
40kg. |
