Accessibility - Introduction

To get to most of the islands around Singapore you will need to travel through bumboats. The bumboats are affordable and can carry up to 6-12 people only. In this webpage, you can find the accessibility to the islands and traveling around the certain islands.

Accessibility - Pulau Ubin

Service 2 to Lorong Bekukong, where the Changi point bus interchange is. It is a short walk from here to Changi Jetty, where bumboats to Pulau Ubin can be hired for the 10 minutes trip. Alternatively, you may alight at Tampines MRT Station and take SBS Service 29, alighting at Changi Meridien Hotel. From here, it is a short walk to the jetty. If driving from the city, take the ECP and turn out at the Changi Village Exit (near Tanah Merah Flyover) into Changi Coast Road and Nicholl Drive. There is ample parking at PA Adventure Club and Lorong Bekukong.

The bumboat service operates from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm by private operators. The fare for single trip is S$1.50 at all times, S$2.50 if you are bringing a bike over. The boat will only leave the jetty when there are 12 passengers, or if someone is willing to charter the whole boat for S$18.00

 

Accessibility - Kusu Island

Take a ferry from the Sentosa Ferry Terminal. Admission to the island, which includes the ferry charges, is S$9 for adults and S$6 for children. Duration of the ride is about 30 minutes. During the annual Kusu Island Pilgrimage, ferries leave every 30 minutes from Clifford Pier (round trip $10 Monday to Saturday, $11.50 Sunday). For Clifford Pier, take the MRT to Raffles and walk through Changi Alley.

Accessibility - Sentosa Island

Sentosa bus services: Take Sentosa Bus Service from Harbour Front Centre Bus Terminal. Ticketing at Visitor Arrival Centre at S$3 per person (S$2 island admission; S$1 transportation by Sentosa Bus).

By MRT: Alight at Harbour Front MRT, then walk 800m to the Visitor Arrival Centre or take Sentosa Bus Service as explained above.

By Cable Car: Board from Cable Car Towers at HarbourFront Centre or from Mount Faber which opens from 8.30 to 9.00pm daily. Ticket is available at Cable Car Tower (Harbour Front Centre) or Mount Faber.

Normal Cabin: S$8.90/Adult; S$3.90/Child (includes 4-station cable car ticket from Cable Car Tower or Mount Faber )

Normal Cabin: S$7.50/Adult; S$3.90/Child (includes 1-station cable car ticket from Cable Car Tower )

Glass Cabin: S$15/Adult; S$8/Child (includes 4-station cable car ticket from Cable Car Tower or Mount Faber )

Prices are inclusive of GST but do not include admission to Sentosa.

By Ferries: Ferries run every 20 to 30 minutes to and from the World Trade Centre between 9.30am and 10pm on weekdays and from 8.30am to 10 pm weekends and public holidays.

By Car: Drive to Sentosa in via Gateway Avenue and pay S$2 per person for island admission and S$2 for parking. Parking is at designated carparks on the island.

By Taxi: Island admission applies for passenger(s) in taxi at S$2 per person.

Walk-in: Visitors can walk into Sentosa via the Causeway Bridge from 7.00am to 12.00pm . Island admission charge applies.

Accessibility - St.John Island

Take a ferry from the Sentosa Ferry Terminal. Admission to the island, which includes the ferry charges, is S$9 for adults and S$6 for children. Duration of the ride is 45 minutes each way. The ferries stop at Kusu Island as well. During the annual Kusu Island Pilgrimage, the ferry service to St John's Island will be suspended.

Accessibility - Sisters' Island

There are no regular ferry service to the island. A water taxi from Jardine Steps or Clifford Pier will cost about S$50 an hour and takes between six to twelve passengers.

Accessibility - Pulau Hantu

Take a launch from West Coast Fery Terminal. Capacity per launch is 12 persons. A two-way trip costs about S$140.00 depending on the duration of stay. Duration of the ride is 30 minutes each way.
