About This Site
|
The members of this ThinkQuest team were all classmates at Community Middle School where we met and decided to form this team. Peter, a new student at Community introduced us to this competition and he served as the team’s manager. We decided to participate in this competition and try our best in creating a decent site to hopefully do well in this contest.
Even though the team was gathered during the school year, the team meetings officially begun during the summer of 2004. The team met at Peter’s house, at Community Middle School, and occasionally at the local library. Peter facilitated the meetings where we discussed things such as our productivity, how the site should be made, and how we could improve what we have already done. Meetings and work sessions were usually held once a week.
Software involved in creating this site include Macromedia MX 2004, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, and the occasional games of Microsoft Solitaire.
We were fortunate to have the support and assistance of our friends, family, and local businesses. Our families provided us with proofreading support, particularly in the Chinese translation. We were also able to interview Dr. Ranade of Bristol Myers-Squibb, and we are thankful for that amazing opportunity.
We have had many ups and downs in creating this site, but in the end, we can come to a consensus that the time creating this site was worth it. We hope you will enjoy reading this site as much as we enjoyed creating it.
