Austria has banned three times of GE maize- Novarits, Monsanto, and AgrEvo.
France has banned PGS and AgrEvo herbicide resistant rapeseed.
Germany has banned Novartis Bt maize. Several German communities have voted on GE - free resolutions. " Applications have been launched in Bad villbel, Blauenstein, Lahr, konstanz , Hannover , Hamburg . Applications have been accepted in: Mynchen, Reutlingen , Friedrichsdorf, Blomberg, Selingenstadt, Niddatal, Maintal, Riedstadt, Adendorf, Schwebheim, Pinneberg, Schwabach, Lan-genhagen, Wyhe, Burgdorf, Neetze, District Traunstein. Early in 2004 Germany agreed to a law that permitted genetically modified food to grow in the country. All the food was to be clearly labeled.
Greece has banned AgrEvo herbicide resistant rapeseed, moratorium on GE crop trials.
Italy has banned GE crops in four regions - Tuscany , Molise , Lazio, and Marche - and 25 provinces, cities and communes, including Rome , Milan , Turin , Brescia , and Genoa .
Luxembourg has banned Novartis Bt maize
Portugal has banned Novartis Bt maize.
Norway has banned importation of six Genetic Engineered crops and products; two GE vaccines, GE maize, tobacco, chicory, and oil swede rape. 31 GE applications have been rejected up to date.
Spain has imposed a five year blanked moratorium for GMOs. Certain provinces have banned GE food, while others have declared moratoriums on GE crop trials and food.
United Kingdom - The Church of England has banned GE crop trials, and many local organizations have taken the initiative against GMOs.
