Galaxies | Milky way| Types of galaxies [1] | Structure of galaxies | AGN and Quasars Star Types in a Galaxy Globular clusters: A close large group of older stars which are usually huge and red in colour. It is very much a sphere. Open clusters: A group of openly spread young stars in the shape of a disk. OB associations: Open groups of young but extremely hot stars of spectral types O and B (see in chapter "stars"). Stars in OB associations will gradually move away from each other as they are not held together by gravity. Nebulae: Clouds of gas and dust. Find out about its formation in the "stars" chapter.
