Waterbottle Boomer The waterbottle boomer is a woodwind instrument that can be made out of disposable water bottles and tap water. Although it can be cumbersome to play fast songs, it is easy and fun to make and produces a distinctive sound. To play, position one bottle underneath your lips and blow across. This may take a little practice to get a good pitch. Playing all of the bottles in order should sound like a major scale. (If it isn't exact, you can add a little more water to make the pitch higher, and take some away to make it lower.) How to Make It To make this you will need three materials: Water, eight disposable water bottles, and a ruler. I recommend Deer Park 0.5 litre water bottles. First, rinse out the bottles. Remove the tops, the plastic ring on the neck, and the labels from each bottle. Fill one bottle with each amount of water shown below. Line the bottles up from least full to most full. 1 - Ab (low) - 1.25 cm full 2 - Bb - 3.5 3 - C - 5.8 4 - Db - 7.1 5 - Eb - 9.5 6 - F - 10.9 7 - G - 12.4 8 - Ab (high) - 12.9
