BASIC ELEMENTS
Fuel for the Future

Fossil fuels are our main source of energy. They provide the power under the hoods of our cars, and give electricity to our cities and towns. Every time we start up our car and commute to work, or turn on our computers and surf the web- the Earth is being polluted. Fossil fuels must be burnt to break their molecular bonds and release their energy. Cars and power plants all over the world pump out carbon dioxide and ozone. The good news is there are solutions being employed and designed right now to ebb this tide of pollution. cursus.

OUR MISSION
What this website is for

This web site will demonstrate the different kinds of alternative energy sources, and the science behind them. From taming the thermal energy at the core of the Earth, to capturing the immense power of the sun, alternative energy takes from the environment around it, while leaving a minimal footprint. You can learn from this web site, what is being used for energy now, what will be used in the future, and where you’ll find it being implemented.

Energy:
Fuel for the Future

The basic problem is this: while electricity is clean, the process that makes it can be very dirty. When we turn on a light switch, start our car, or use our cell phone, we are polluting the atmosphere and throwing toxic chemicals into our ecosystem. That is why it is paramount that we as a people need to find better ways of creating electricity. It is through these alternative energy sources that we will keep the Earth healthy while keeping with our standard of living.

Applications:
Alternative Energy in Action

There are many different ways that alternative energy sources can change our lives. From laptops with week-long charges, to cars with water vapor as their only by-product. There could be a day when each house has its own power supply. This power supply could take energy from deep within the Earth, the trash you throw away, the wind that passes by, the sun that comes down, or even your morning cup of coffee. The possibilities are endless.
