Anne Frank
Anne Frank was born in 1929 Frankfurt, Germany. She was born in one of the most difficult times in the 20’th century. Anne was Jewish loved writing and dreamed of becoming a writer.

In 1933 Aldof Hitler became Chancellor of Germany. Soon after that, all of the Jewish people were forced to wear the Star of David on their clothing so people could recognize them as Jews. In 1939 WWII began.

The Nazi’s were killing the Jews so Anne and her family went into hiding. Just before they went into hiding, Anne received a diary for her birthday. Her diary became her friend while in hiding.

After being in hiding a couple of years, someone told the Nazi’s about the Franks. The family was captured and taken to a death camp Poland. Anne and her sister died of sickness in 1945. Later that year the war in Europe ended.

Anne’s diary was saved by a friend and given to her father who survived. Anne’s diary was published in 1947 the diary was translated into about seventy languages. Anne’s dream of becoming a writer had come true.
