Syllabus

In Space travel guide, we have split up the information into smaller modules for simplicity of navigation and understanding.

We first go through our universe. In this section we explain the various components of our universe and the theories of its evolution. Then we come to physical laws, where we explain the basic laws of physics which are followed by the universe.

Then, we take you on an interactive tour of the site. In this tour, we start off with a hypothesis, study it and lead you to reality. In course of the tour, we explain to you, the concepts of space travel technologies in an orderly manner.

We first see various types of propellants and their sub-types. The next section is that of various propulsion techniques which use these propellants. This is inclusive of present day techniques as well as future techniques which are under development.

Once the audience gets the basic gist of the concepts of propulsion and propellants, the vehicles used to travel to space, i.e. space shuttles are introduced.

The parts of the shuttle, various sub-systems which perform various functions and different stages of the mission are understood.

We have also included the future of space travel. This part deals with the technologies which are only a vision now and will be fully developed around 100 years down the line.

We also have a look at few of the past mission. A special feature in this is the current mission to Mars, Spirit and Opportunity .

At the end of each session of study, we have included a ‘test yourself' section which allows the audience to test itself and judge how much of the session has it conceptually understood.
