International Space Station ISS is first huge collaborative effort between 16 nations. This project has marked a new era in human space exploration due to its technological, engineering and scientific marvel. Canada , Japan , Russia , Brazil and the 11 nations of European space agency are the international partners. Certain responsibilities have been taken by every country involved in this mission, which range from development of technical components and equipment, to providing transportation to and from the station, or building entire modules. The station was assembled on Nov. 20, 1998 when the Russian Zarya module was launched into orbit. The station has eight primary modules: the Habitation Module, the Service Module and six laboratories.
