Components
Galileo spacecraft had two major components;
The orbiter further had two parts;
- a non-spinning section, which housed cameras and other remote sensors;
- the main spinning section that contained all the fields and particles instruments. These instruments could sense and measure the environment directly as the spacecraft flew through it.
