Galileo Spacecraft

Components

Galileo spacecraft had two major components;

• The Orbiter
• The Probe

The orbiter further had two parts;

• a non-spinning section, which housed cameras and other remote sensors;
• the main spinning section that contained all the fields and particles instruments. These instruments could sense and measure the environment directly as the spacecraft flew through it.
