Structural Subsystem

This subsystem includes all spacecraft structures, mechanisms and structural interfaces with the Space Shuttle. It provides a platform to attach components internally and externally and to house delicate modules.

Thus, structure subsystem is concerned with the mechanical design of the body. This involves the geometrical design, materials used, harness and layout of all elements and boxes on the space shuttle.
