Objectives

There are two main objectives of the mission. These are.

•  To study the three icy moons of Jupiter; Callisto, Ganymede, and Europa. The study would include investigating their structure, history and capability to support life.

•  To develop a nuclear reactor and highlight on its safety and, reliability and show that it can be processed safely and operated reliably in deep space for long-duration deep space exploration.

Launching date

Since this mission will involve the use of new technology, the development of which will take some time, the mission is proposed for launch after 2011.
