Space Power

The population on earth is humongous today. The terrestrial energy developed is not enough to satiate the needs of all of them. It is indeed a great challenge to meet the ever-increasing need of this ever-increasing population. One of the alternatives being considered is that of Space Power Stations (SPS). The idea of SPS is not even a remotely new one. Rather it has been around since 1881. Space Solar Power (SSP) was brought into public eye when Peter Glaser, in 1968, promoted SSP as an answer to the earth's energy needs. NASA already uses solar power panels to power their spacecrafts, so it is very much possible to use SSP to fulfill earth's energy needs.
