Greek Gods
Have you ever heard of a couple of the hundreds of great Greek gods such as Hercules or Zeus? Well if you haven't, let me tell you a little about some of these famous gods..
Zeus was the most powerful god ever. He was called the God of the Sky and his weapon was a thunderbolt. He was Hercule's father. Zeus married a woman named Hera. Since he was such a powerful god, he didn't have much time for his family. Zeus fell in love with a woman named Alcmene. While Alcmene's husband was away, Zeus made her pregnant with Hercules. When Hera heard of this she became furious. She got so mad she tried to prevent the baby from being born. When Hercules was born, Hera put snakes in the cradle but the baby Hercules strangled the snakes before they could bite him. Then and there, Zeus knew Hercules would be a great warrior. Now that is incredible!!

Hercules is well-known for the strength in his stories and his wonderful sculptures. His father was Zeus. When Hercules grew up he became a great warrior. Hercules married a woman named Magera. They had two kids.

Hades is the god of the Underworld. He is a brother to Zeus. He loved being the god of the underworld but he really wanted a wife. One day he met a wonderful woman named Persephone. In order to get to the Underworld you would have to cross a river called the River Styx. Once in the Underworld you could not go back for the gate was guarded by a three headed dog named Cerberus.
