Ø What are dragons like in Ancient Greece?
The dragons were very mean. Some ate animals and some tormented towns and people. People were also frightened of them because of what they do.
Ø What do they look like?
Some look like snakes, cross between dog and dolphin, lion, a goat and a mixture of different animals.
Ø A story from Ancient Greece is “Hercules and the Hydra"
The Hydra had 9 heads and he middle was immortal. Hercules fought the Hydra and used his club to knock off the Hydra's head, but he found out that each time he knocked off a head another would grow back. Finally he used a torch to burn off the new heads, and burned the immortal one under a rock. Arrows dipped in the Hydra's blood were poisonous. Hercules accidentally shot Chiron with one later.
