Human Cloning

We can't keep cloning from happening. All it takes is one clinic somewhere to not talk about it and just to use the technology to make a clone. There are some people that want us to clone, like how Christians want to clone Jesus, and the A.B.C. (Americans Ban Cloning) that are completely against cloning. The only people that want to clone everyone is the scientists that are working on cloning.

Some scientists think we should use clones for spare organs. That would be the same as killing normal humans for their livers, hearts, etc. Clones are no different than us, except they look identical. Killing humans would just be murder.

Cloning is dangerous. Dolly, the cloned sheep, died early because she was cloned. If we do cloning improperly the child clone will die. Although some people think clones will live longer, that is unfortunately untrue. Because clones have cells from older beings, the cells will die early, killing the clone. However, it is possible, with research and experiments, that we could keep this from happening.

Although cloning is dangerous and many people are against it, there are a few advantages. The stem cells in bone marrow could be used in a medicine to cure diabetes. French scientists have proven that, with a dose of stem sells, we can mend hearts. Multiple sclerosis can be cured with extracted stem cells from the bone marrow. These are helpful, but people are still against cloning.

Fortunately, clones are exactly the same as regular humans. This means that no one is controlling the clone, and clones don't think like someone else. For example, suppose someone cloned himself, thinking he can clone himself in every generation and become immortal. In the end, all he gets is a son that he can't control.

Scientists think they have found one of the reason why clones die so soon. When the stem cells are extracted from the body and put in a lab, somehow they are damaged. We will have to take extreme caution if we want to clone humans. This could make cloning irrational, if not impossible.

The world stares in awe as scientists in South Korea report that they have successfully extracted stem cells form a cloned human. Experts in the UK hailed it as a major step towards the future of cloning and conclude that this could one day offer treatment for diseases such as Parkinson's and
