Tests

Though the watch is still in the process of being built, we have gone through many experiments with David and Isabel Kaplan. David unfortunately has the Alzheimer's disease. Isabel is the librarian of Oceanside Middle School and the next door neighbor of Paul. We have worked with them on numerous occasions. Isabel calls David many times during the day to make sure he is alright.
Paul has seen David getting off of the bus (bringing him back from the LIAF facility) and being dropped off at the corner of the block. David does not remember where his house is and starts wandering around. At times Paul goes out with his mother or father in his car and finds David wandering searching for his home several blocks away. He then picks him up and brings him home. At times he has seen David when the bus finally started dropping him off in front of the house after complaints from Isabel. He still has trouble and can’t find his house so he needs the bus driver to show him his house and tell him which key is the right one. Isabel always talks about how she could use help with David and gets a little stressed at times. The VMD would be great for her and for other people with the same problem.
When the prototype is built we plan to be able to test it out at Isabel Kaplan’s house. We could set up the trip alarms and the camera’s in the house and make sure that everything works. If everything works fine than we are hoping that we would be able to produce the VMD for sale to make these people's lives easier.
Steve Spinner owner of Sentry Alarms has found an interest in our prototype the Alzheimer's VMD. He has helped us along in our project and is willing to invest in the Alzheimer's VMD.
