Types of TB
TB affects mainly the lungs (about 90 % of all cases). However,
other parts of the body such as the intestines, the bones, the brain,
the joints etc maybe infected as well.
Primary TB pneumonia causes high fever and productive cough.
It occurs shortly after primary infection and cause high fever and
patient maybe in danger of dying.
Renal Tb causes white blood cells in the urine and spreads to the
reproductive organs and inflammation may occur in the cases for men.
Tb Meningitis affects the main membrane surrounding the brain and
spinal cord and causes headaches, sleepiness, coma, death and patient
may appear to have a stroke.
Tb Peritonitis makes outer lining of the
intestines and inner linings of the abdominal wall, producing increased
fluid causing abdominal distention, pain and fever.
