The Team Members
Shawn
Shawn is in High School Year 3 in a Singapore school. He is the
site's main web designer as well as team leader. Most of the website's
designs were crafted by Shawn. Shawn's love for design and art was
first developed at the end of Year 1. He is a great fan of designer
websites and derives a lot of inspiration from these sites. Shawn
is also familiar with Flash animations, webpage construction and
computer hardware.
The tools of his trade include Adobe Photoshop CS and Imageready
and Macromedia Dreamweaver 2004.
As the team leader he had to arrange meetings both with team members
and with the Singapore Anti Tuberculosis Association (SATA) to conduct
primary research. Collaboration with the team members and with SATA
to create this website to promote awareness on the resurgence of
TB has been Shawn's most fruitful project in recent years.
Michael
Michael is in High School Year 3 in a Singapore school. He is the
site's main web animator. Most of the website's animations were created
by Michael. Michael who hails from Indonesia picked up his animation
skills in High School Year 2. The animations were created using Macromedia
Flash 2004 and Swish 3D.
Currently Michael is trying to master 3D animation software including
3D Studiomax and Caligari Truespace. Michael had originally wanted
to incorporate 3D animations but due to space constraints and time
constraints, this was shelved. Michael is also familiar with webpage
construction and computer hardware.
Belvin
Michael is in High School Year 3 in a Singapore school. He is in
charge of the site's technical issues. Most of the website's technical
issues and scripting were handled by Belvin. Technical issues included
handling scripting for the menu navigation, site checking, debugging
of errors, handling of templates, menu navigation, iframe, and optimizing
the site for speed.
Belvin is also familiar with Flash animations, webpage construction
and computer hardware.
Rex
Rex is in High School Year 3 in a Singapore school. He is in charge
of the site's contents. This involves a lot of primary research with
the Singapore Anti Tuberculosis Association as well as secondary
research using online sites, magazines, journals, books and other
sources.
Rex who comes from Brunei has always loved doing research. Doing
research for a worthwhile cause has added to his satisfaction and
sense of achievement. While the contents of this website have mainly
been scoured by Rex and assisted by Weixun, all the team members
were keen to promote awareness on tuberculosis and working on this
project has been a most enriching experience for all the members
Weixun
Weixun is in High School Year 1 in a Singapore school. He is the
youngest in our team. He just joined the team in January 2004. However,
our project soon caught his attention and he decided to join our
team. Although he started later than us, he has managed to pick up
the skills very quickly and in no time, he had contributed a lot
to the team
Weixun's played a key supporting role in the creation of this website.
His numerous supporting contributions included assisting Rex with
content research, linking all the html pages, scanning and photographing
of pictures, designing navigation buttons and providing many helpful
suggestions and ideas to improve the website
The Coach
The entire website project progressed under the watchful eyes of
coach Mr Low. He had to ensure that the team is able to meet the
necessary deadlines, schedule appointments, meetings and discussions
Mr Low assisted the team in liaising with the Singapore Anti Tuberculosis
Association and other organizations for contents and resources. He
had also been a great help by assisting the team in various resources
such as books, magazines and journals from the school library.
In addition he has also provided a lot of valuable advice to the
team including suggestions to improve the website, how to write to
the necessary copyright holders for permissions and proof reading
to contents to ensure the accuracy of the information as far as possible
