There are many different ways to tell if a tornado is coming. One way is you can look at the sky. If it is a disgusting greenish or blackish color you can guess a tornado is coming. Also there could be warnings or watches to tell you that a tornado is on its way. These are normally on the radio or on the TV. Also if the weather has been rainy and windy you can tell that a thunderstorm is on its way. These are ways to determine that tornadoes are coming.
