Tornado Tuesday |

One of the biggest events in tornado history occurred on Tuesday, June 24th, 2003, when 67 tornadoes touched down in the state of South Dakota, and many more tornadoes touched down in surrounding states. Many of the tornadoes touched close to our homes in the Sioux Falls, SD, area. As a result, friends, relatives and acquaintances had their lives changed forever by this catastrophic event. We chose to do our website about Tornado Tuesday in the midwest because we wanted students to understand what can happen when this phenomenal natural disaster takes place close to home.
