Mythology started as stories told by humans to explain their natural surroundings and why certain events occurred in nature.  They created stories to explain echoes, rainbows, constellations, sunsets, etc.  Our site is designed to show how two different cultures explained natural occurrences.  You will find myths from Native American and Greek cultures.  Explore them and then try our activities and games.  You will also find links to other mythology sites as well as a dictionary of terms and lesson plans for teachers.
