Ox

In the story of the rat, the rat asked the ox to carry him across the river. The ox agreed and woke the cat and rat up early the day of the race. He lugged them (the cat and rat) across the river. When he was close to the finish, rat jumped off his ears. Ox settled for 2^nd place.
