These mystical beasts were used in many old myths and legends. Unicorns are known to have lived high up in the clouds because they were very afraid of humans. They thought humans were very violent and mean to all other animals they caught.
Different countries have different myths about the unicorns and what they looked like . For example, the Chinese unicorn has the head of a stag, the legs of a horse and a 12 foot long horn on its forehead. It was believed to live up in the heavens as it was a beautiful array of colors as the sky sometimes. On the other hand the Japanese unicorn was said to have a bull's body, but at other times it resembled a deer or a goat. It had fierce eyes and could frighten a human so badly the person would be unable to move. Both Japanese and Chinese had smooth pointed horns although the length may vary. Another unicorn that the Indians hunted had a stag's head, elephants feet, and a boar's body. As you can see the characteristics of some unicorns may vary from one another, depending on the country and what the people believed in.
Unicorns are believed to be healers to the touch and can cure any pure heart that needs it. All unicorns, man or woman, are able to talk to a variety of different beasts in nature.
