The Griffin
Griffins are magical creatures that are half lion and half eagle. They have great enormous beaks and very sharp claws. Griffins are believed to have originated in India and were thought to be used for guarding huge treasures of gold. They are fierce and powerful. Griffins can be found in forests or in hilly mountains.
Griffins have been part of literature and mythology for dozens of centuries. The Griffin has been known to be on many family crests.
