  You can use the menu beside this to navigate around the website. We apologise for parts of the menu where we have had to spilt up the headings due to space constrain. These headings are: "Possible Damage", "Saffir-Simpson Scale", "Categories of Saffir-Simpson Scale" and "Past Hurricanes".

  However, both the top and bottom parts link to the same page.

  This website is meant for educational purposes and we hope that it can reach out to people of all ages, from 6 to 66.

  To make this possible, we have written the content of this website simply, to allow the vast majority to understand.

  The inclusion of a photo gallery and links to external websites is to facilitate learning. As the saying goes, "A picture says a thousand words." In this case, the photos of hurricanes in action serves to convey to the reader of the strength of hurricanes.

  In order to cater for users with a slower internet connection, we have placed most of the pictures in the photo gallery. However, pictures which we feel are useful are still included in the different web pages.
