AWFUL EMERALD ASH BORER
SCIENTIFIC NAME: AGRILUS PLANIPENNIS

The Emerald Ash Borer is a non-native species from Asia that has moved to the U.S.A. It is found in six different counties in Michigan and is spreading all over North America. It is problematic because it lives, eats, and infests millions of Ash Trees in Michigan. If we do nothing to stop it, the Emerald Ash Borer could wipe out all the Ash Trees in North America! This would hurt the environment by making it harder for species that use the Ash tree for shelter, food and breeding ground.
