Gymnastics Rules: Every
gymnast is allowed one attempt on each apparatus, except when the
attempt is interrupted through no fault of the gymnast, but not on the
women’s vault. When on the women’s vault, each athlete is aloud
two attempts with averaged scores. Every gymnast determines their own
routine. How the judge
decides on a winner: First they give the gymnasts scores on their
performances, then they count the scores and the person with the
highest score wins. Interesting fact:
Gymnastics has been around for over 2000 years! But it has been a
competitive sport for a little more than 100 years! citation: this picture came from www.judburkett.com/sports5.html |
