Curling

Basic rules: two rubber hacks shall be placed on the foot line with the inside edge of each hack three inches from the center line. Curling stones shall be of circular shape. Every team shall have four players.

Judging: Only one team can score. Only stones can be counted that are in the house or touch the edge of the house. A team receives a point for every stone that is nearer the center than any other stone from the opposite of the team.

The best known American curler is Raymond Bud Somerville. His team won world championship in 1965 when he was 28. The oldest artifacts are stones which prehistoric people slid towards a target along frozen lakes.
