Safety first for avalanches
If you are crossing mountainous areas, some safety measures, such as crossing possibly unstable slopes one-at-a-time or well-spaced out, reduce the likelihood of being caught by an avalanche. A trip plan is also advisable. In the trip plan, information on the snow stability is important so as to reduce the chances of being caught in an avalanche.
