Winterstorm - a continuous flow of strong wind blowing large amounts of frozen precipitation for a long period of time

Winterstorms can be very dangerous. Winterstorms are formed when an air mass of dry cold air and an air mass of moist dry air are moving towards each other, and neither mass advances more than the other mass. This forms what is called a stationary front. Low air pressure forms in front of the masses, and the atmosphere try to even out the pressure, causing wind. The wind can sometimes blow the warm air up, causing it to condense when it reaches the cold air. Depending on different environment necessities, the warm air can condense into snow, and along with the wind, a winterstorm will form.

Winterize your car before the cold season

Let someone know your destination, which road(s) you are taking, and when you expect to be back home (This is so if you get stuck, when you don’t arrive home at the time you said you would, the person who you told your information to can check to see if you arrived at your destination and let the rescuers know which roads you took so that they can find you)
Have a shovel in your car
