Asteroids are chunks of “space junk” floating in space. Most asteroids are made of materials that have broken off of comments or have come out of explosions. These space rocks, as they are sometimes called, float thought space harmlessly. They asteroid belt is a huge belt of asteroids between Mars and Jupiter. These asteroids have collected here because of the gravitational pull of the sun and they rotate the sun because of the property of inertia (they property that states that on object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by another force).
