Ranagrok: The End Of the World As We Know It

Ranagrok is the end of the world and all of thee cosmos in the Norse religion. Ranagrok means “Doom of the gods. ”To begin the Ranagrok, there will be Fmbulvetr, a winter that never had break for spring, summer, or fall. This will cause all families to fall into dysfunction, and tear apart families. The wolf Skoll will eat the sun and the wolf Hadi will eat the moon. The stars will vanish, and all light will disappear from the skies. Two cocks, named Fjalar and Gullinkambi will call to the giants and the gods. A third cock will awaken the dead. Earthquakes will shock the world, setting the great wolf Fenrir free, and sending Jormungand free from the deep oceans. He will stain the soil and air with vile poison. The waves caused by him will set fee the command ship of the giants, where they will sent all of their forces to the battlefield, where they will face the gods. Another ship will be set free from the depths of hell. Loki will lead them into battle. Fire giant lead by Surt will join the war against the gods. Surt will scorch the earth with his blazing sword. The gods also got organized on the battlefield. All of the non-human races were summoned to the battlefield of the last battle. Odin will assault the the wolf Fenrir, while Thor engages Jormungand. Thor will be poisoned just before he kills Jourmungand, while the poison will eventually kill him. Surt will look for Freyr, and will quickly be killed by him. Tyr will fight Garm, a huge hound, and they will both kill each other.Loki and Hemidall will attack each other with an eternity’s worth of rage, and like Tyr and Gar, will kill each other. The first fight between Odin and Fenrir will end with the death of Odin, but Vidar, Odin’s son, will arrive and rip Fenrir’s jaw apart with his bare hands. The giant Surt will fling fire in every direction, burning the nine worlds and sending earth into the sea. After the great war, a heavenly-like planet will arise. This world will be filled with abundant resources. Some gods that survived the war will live here, while other gods that fell in the fight will be reborn on this land. Good will prevail over evil, and all things will live in peace. The descendants of Lifthrasir and Lif will inhabit this great land.
