Atlantis You probably already heard the legend of Atlantis. This was said to be the most advanced civilization during its time. This was how a philosopher, Plato, described it even though he had never saw it.He passed on things told to him over time by those who visited Atlantis or heard stories of it.Atlantis had been destroyed prior to Plato's birth.
But before total destruction of Atlantis it was part of a continent separated only by small bodies of water. This continent was said to be larger than the state of Arizona, but smaller that the state of California. This civilization was already at the time at the same level of intelligence as the Egyptians and the Romans—and if you think about, that’s pretty amazing! What is also amazing is that the population of this extinct land was 50,000 to 60,000. But all those people were killed after the destruction of Atlantis. The destruction caused the whole continent to sink into the bottom of the ocean. Still researchers today try to find more evidence and maybe some of their findings could help us solve this ancient mystery.
Bigfoot
If you read the Yeti article, then you already know that they can be found in North America. According to the description of people who spotted the Bigfoot claimed that it is about 7-12 feet tall and according to what they said about the size of the footprint, the foot size is 6 ½ to 8 inches. And also like the Yeti, it has lived for 6,000 years. They exist throughout the northern continent, from Florida on into Canada and from the east coast to the west coast. As of the 27 of May 1997 there are 133 of them living. The average male is 8 feet tall and the average female is 7 feet. The male's weight is around 350 to 400 pounds and the female's is 250 to 300 pounds. They leave their "dead" in a cave, where other animals eat them. Animals also eat the "waste," so nothing is left for humans to find. They do not travel over the same trails year-after-year.
The males may have one or two females and they remain together throughout their lives. They "do not" mate with their off-springs, the off-springs are left with other families, when they cross paths during their traveling from one area to another, or during "rare gatherings."
As mentioned earlier, Bigfoot families also live in Florida on up to Canada. They are relatives of the northern families. However, there is a difference between the southern families and their northern families. The southern families forage for food during the daylight hours and sleep at night. They average 6 members to a family. They are "meat eaters."
Loch Ness Monster
Most of you people already heard off the existence of The Loch Ness Monster. For those of you haven’t, this monster is a relative to one of the undersea dinosaurs a million years ago. The Loch Ness Monster’s existence has been classified to be at least 500,00 years. The average length of a male is usually 127 feet long, ad as for the female 103 feet. As you reads these monsters are very long, but why can’t explorers find these exquisite monsters? Well, the reason is it lives deep sea in underwater caves. No one knows exactly where it is, but they know it lives in the seas of the Great Glen, which separates the North of Scotland along a line from Fort William to Inverness.
The Loch Ness Monster is said to eat only marine animals (obviously, it lives in the ocean!). The strange thing is that it only eats every five years then it goes into a state of hibernation for another five years. Most of this time it sleeps, but occasionally wakes up and starts eating. It is at this time when people see this, but it is very rare. [Go to http://www.myspace.co.uk/nessie/nessie/sight.html for a list of sightings of this fabulous monster.]
Yeti
To start, this is a man-like monster is relative to the monster Bigfoot, but not quite the same. The only similarities are that they both live in North America and are said to have existed for about 6,000 years. The similarities end here. What is different about this creature is that unlike Bigfoot, The Yeti didn’t evolve from an animal species, it evolved from the “caveman.” The Yeti is usually spotted in China, the Himalayas and on up into the former Soviet Union to Siberia. The total population of these creatures is around 227. The average life span is between 120 and 130 years. That is amazing—living that long! Another thing that’s amazing (but mostly funny) is that their feet are positioned backwards! Well, that’s how spotters said he looked. But please remember, the Yeti is carnivorous, so please, if you are going to hunt these they might try to eat you.
KEEP IN MIND: THE YETI IS NOT RELATED TO BIGFOOT! Thank You!
