It may seem like a silly concept at first. Isn't trade just giving one thing for another? Like you giving me a pencil for an eraser?

While that idea of trade is true, the true extent of trade is far more tremendous. Trade has given us faster cars, safer planes, warmer clothes, and better food. Yes, even the chair you are sitting on, or the bed you sleep in. How does this happen? Why does this happen?

These are the questions we, Team Aragon, wished to answer for today's youth. Although it may not seem like it, trade is all around you, and it is important that we learn why we trade, and how we trade so we can make the world a better place. That's right, a better place. By trading, we learn from one another, we gain better products, and we give others better products as well. Economics tells us that if we do what we are best at, then we can trade our goods or services for what others are good at. Therefore, everyone receives quality goods/services, and we can have a variety of goods/services to choose from!

This is how our world has been built to what it is today. Without trade, we wouldn't have German cars, Chinese dishware, Russian hats, French gourmet, or Arabic rugs! We'd like to show you how this came to be not only because it is important to understand the functions of the world, but because trade can make the world a better place for everyone.

The youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. We believe it is essential to understand the world economy because it is all around us, and affects us in more critical ways that we can count. Moreover, as future leaders, we need to understand what is trade, why it works, and how to best utilize trade to build a brighter, better future for us all.
