Sun and Moon

Almost every mythology has either a god or goddess of the sun and most have one of the moon. In several cultures, such as Greek and Japanese, the two are brother and sister. However, the Greek siblings, Apollo (sun) and Artemis (moon), get along very well and love each other dearly, while the Japanese deities, Amaterasu (sun) and Tsuki-Yumi (moon), fight all the time. In most mythologies the sun god or goddess is more powerful then the moon god or goddess. In several mytholgies, such as Greek, Norse and Eygptian, the sun deity travels through the sky in a horse drawn chariot.
