Chapter Four - Hephaestus

Hephaestus' Roman name was Vulcan.  He was the god of fire and crafts.  This is also called blacksmithing.
He was lame, not that he was a bad person, but his leg was deformed.  Hephaestus was the son of Zeus and Hera.  Because he was lame, Hera threw him off Mount Olympus, which I might remind you is a mountain.  Talk about a loving mother
Even though he was lame he wasn't "good for nothing."  He was the blacksmith of the gods.  He even built palaces for the gods on top of Mount Olympus.  Being the god of crafts, he made quite a lot of things.  He made Achilles armor for the Trojan War.  Not only did he make things out of metal, he also made the first woman who was named Pandora.  To make his life even more interesting, he married Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
