Chapter Three - Dionysus

Dionysus was the god of wine.  His Roman name was Bacchus and he lived on Mount Olympus.  His parents were Zeus and Semele.
A very famous story about Dionysus was that he granted King Midas the power to turn everything he touched into gold.  But when Midas took his daughter by the hand without thinking to come see all the gold things, Dionysus was kind enough to take the power back.
He was the rescuer of Ariadne after Theseus had abandoned her.
Dionysus also rescued his mother from the Underworld after Zeus showed his true nature as the storm god and consumed her in lightning.  Talk about pain!
