- Minotaur
Minotaur was half man, half bull. This came about when Queen Pasiphae fell in love with a bull. This bull happened to be a sacrifice that was sent to the queen's husband. She did not fall in love voluntarily, it was the work of the gods. The gods were probably angry at the king for some reason or another, and decided to smite him by having his wife give birth to a monster. It would be embarrassing to him if his wife bore the child of another, especially if that other was a bull. The Minotaur was not killed , but was put into a labyrinth. Every year, or so, human sacrifices were led into the labyrinth where they would eventually wander into the Minotaur's clutches. It was considered a great honor to be sacrificed, and only the wealthy were allowed to be. The Minotaur was eventually killed by Theseus. This deed was not too heroic, but considering the circumstances it was the right thing to do. If the Minotaur hadn't been feasting on live captives it would change the murder of this beast. It would change from the deed of a true hero, to the deed of a true zero.
