Chapter Eight - Ladon

Ladon was a dragon with many heads that watched over the garden of the Hesperides.  When Heracles had to take the golden apples that were kept by these nymphs for one of his Labors, he needed the help of the Titan Atlas.  The Titan agreed to help Heracles but only if the hero held up the pillar that kept the heavens up there.  Heracles had to do something about Ladon, so he killed the beast with an arrow.
