Chapter Three - Python

The Python was a monstrous serpent made out of slime and mud left on Earth after the great flood of Deucalion.  Its mother was Gaia, goddess of the earth.  He lived in a cave and protected the oracle of Delphi.  People were scared, so nobody went near this great monster.  The mortals called upon Apollo for help.  Apollo came down from Mount Olympus and killed the serpent with just one arrow.
