Christmas
preparations start before December 1st. December 6th is Nikolaustag (St. Claus day).
On December 5th you leave out
your shoe or boot outside the door and the next morning you if you were a good
kid) or a rod ( if you were a bad kid) in them.
The Adventskranz (advent wreath) is not hung up but placed on a table.
Catholic boys and girls dress up as kings for three kings (January 6th) they sing carols and collect money for donations or just a couple of things.
